Ms. Gerotha Lee Marlow 82, of Calabash, accepted the call of her Savior Jesus Christ, receiving her heavenly wings on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. 

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Austin  Julius Marlow, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Pearl Gore Marlow of Calabash. 

She retired with 32 years of experience from Russell E Blaisdell Addiction Treatment Center and Rockland Psychiatric Center as a Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor in Orangeburg, NY in 1995 then relocated to Calabash.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 1pm from the church grounds of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Calabash, NC with Rev. Douglas Moss Eulogizing. 

A walk-through viewing will be conducted on Friday November 19, 2021 from 2-4pm from Smith Funeral Home Chapel. There will also be a viewing at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday November 20, 2021 from 12-1pm. 

Gerotha has five brothers and two sisters that proceeded her in death: Austin Julius Marlow Jr, John Willie Marlow, James “Tommy” Marlow, Willie “Joe” Earl Marlow, Olland “Pete” Marlow, Dianne Marlow Ward and Carolyn McNeil. Her beloved Harold Carter Sr proceeded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children four daughters Treasia L. Marlow(Suffen, NY), Tamara L. Marlow-Lewis(Garnerville, NY), Khalia Marlow Carter(Congers,NY) and Charmae(Matthew)Carter Martin(Calabash, NC) one son Barry L. Marlow (Middletown, NY)  two stepchildren, Harold(Phyllis)Carter Jr(Easton, PA) and Maurice(Sheryl)Carter(Atlanta, GA) five grandchildren: Barri C Marlow, Tyanna(Ray)Marlow-Bland, Shaquan L. Marlow, Keian C Martin and Kira Martin one great grandchild: Christopher B. McNair

two brothers: William”Buddy”(Patricia)Marlow and Michael(Rachel)Marlow three sisters: Leronia Bellamy, Edna Marlow and Polly Livingston, a host of neices, nephews, countless cousins, friends and loved ones whom she loved dearly 

A facial covering is required for walk-through viewing and for Celebration of Life Service.
