Kathleen Carroll Gore age 88 of Whiteville went to be with the Lord on Saturday December 18, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, Whiteville with Reverend Merele A. Johnson officiating.
She along with her late husband, Henry Thurston Gore owned and operated the Gore’s Kountry Kitchen in Chadbourn for over 34 years until her retirement.
She was preceded by her parents, Roland Carroll and Roxanne Simmons Carroll and five siblings, James Earl Carroll, Junior Carroll, Paul Carroll, Mary Lou Todd and Carlene Woodell.
To cherish her memory she leaves two sons, Rocky Lynn Gore of Whiteville and Thurston Carroll Gore and his wife, Rita of Whiteville; two grandchildren, Shonte Gore Nance and her husband, Michael of Evergreen and Chanel Gore of Milwaukee, WI; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Bailey, Hayden and Josephine.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
