Annis Irene Scott Ward, age 85 of Chadbourn, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Irene was born on June 14, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Scott, and Stella Watts Scott; her husband, Liston Ward; siblings, George Scott, Joe Scott, Jerry Scott, Lee Scott, Ella Jane Scott.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Sandy Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Jerry Kinlaw officiating.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Debra Diane Ward Kinlaw (Mark) of Bladenboro; siblings, Myrtle Powers of Chadbourn, Wallace Scott of Tabor City, Keith Scott of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Marla Greene (Patrick) of Asheville, and Kendal Kinlaw (Ashley) of Bladenboro; great-grandchildren, Alice Greene and Landry Greene.
