Lorraine Long Hinson, 85, widow of Daniel R. Hinson, Sr. and later Joe Garland Nealey, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was born November 17, 1936 in Tabor City, daughter of the late Roy Wilson Long and Elma Estaleen (Jacobs) Long.
Survivors include one son, Daniel Hinson, Jr.; one daughter, Myra Daye Hinson; one brother, Johnny Edward Long; four grandchildren, Dannielle Hinson, Laura Hinson, Patrick Lovette, and Justin Lovette; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ronald Wilson Long and Leroy Long; and a grandson, Davy Lovette.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 11th at Inman Ward Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Ghent officiating. Burial will follow in Wright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service in the chapel.
