With loving arms of compassion, the Majestic Funeral Homes Family is consoling the heartbroken loved ones of Mr. John Earl Kornegay Jr., affectionately known as “Rev” as they prepare to take a journey that no family wishes to take. Mr. Kornegay closed the curtains of life Monday, February 8, 2022 at SECU Hospice House of Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC.
Life Remembering Services for Mr. Kornegay, will begin with a visitation as John lies in tranquil repose, on Friday, February 11, 2022 between the hours of 4pm and 6pm at Evergreen Chapel located at 3888 US Hwy 70W Goldsboro, NC. A formal “farewell” celebration will take place on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 3 o’clock post meridian at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, NC. Although Rev closed the drapes on this daily walk called life, those whom he loved and loved him can find solace knowing he has walked into the Garden of Rest where everyday is as peaceful and beautiful as a bright Sunday morning and the sunlight brightens the day from the rays of our Heavenly Father.
Mr. Kornegay is survived by: Children, one Sister; one brother; grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Visitors are being received at 1403 Adams St., Goldsboro, NC throughout this time of sadness and where all will assemble in preparation for the Prestigious Majestic Ebony Motorcade.
