Local Sports:

The Varsity Basketball State Championship:  The Whiteville Lady Wolfpack travels to face St. Pauls this afternoon at 4pm, in the third round of the State Championships. Tickets are $8.00.

The Whiteville Wolfpack Varsity Baseball team looked good in an extended 9-inning game versus West Brunswick. After 7 innings the Wolfpack was leading 3-0, they continued to play until both sides had a chance to see all the players on their benches. Coach Turner Brown had a chance to get a look at every pitcher on his roster last night. The starting rotation for the Wolfpack should be rather good this season, they have added up more strikeouts than runs scored for Whiteville in this scrimmage season.

You can catch all the Whiteville Wolfpack home Varsity baseball games and away game updates on your hometown station Kool 103.9-FM. Do not forget that you can stream the action on www.Kool1039Radio.com
