Clarkton Raid Nets Western Fugitive

A man wanted in Arizona is being held under $1.2 million bond after a raid near Clarkton.

Wade Anthony Garcia, also known as Donovan Davis, is being held on three counts of possession of a firearm by a felon; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana; felony possession of and manufacturing the drug; attempted obtaining property by false pretenses; identity theft; perjury; accessing a government computer to commit fraud, and felony conspiracy. Garcia is being held under $1.2 million secured bond pending extradition to Arizona, where he used the name Donovan Davis, according to the Bladen Sheriff’s Office.

Garcia is alleged to have used the Davis identity in Tennessee and Arzona, where he was convicted of narcotics charges and identity theft.

Bladen and Columbus deputies raided a home in the 400 block of Burney Ford Road, Clarkton, as a result of the investigation into Garcia/Davis.  

The arrest was a combined effort of the Bladen and Columbus sheriff’s offices, along with state DMV License and Theft Bureau, Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Homeland Security.
