A Lake Waccamaw man has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor after allegedly having sex with a four year old.
Michael John Fishburn, 43, of 84 White Pine Rd., Lake Waccamaw, is being held under $100,000 secured bond. He was arrested after 1 a.m. Friday on one count each of statutory sex offense with a child and indecent liberties with a child.
Warrants show that Fishburn is alleged to have “engage(d) in a sex act” with a child who was four years old at the time. The incident occurred between Feb. 2, 2021 and March 1, 2022, according to the warrant.
The sheriff’s office investigated the case.
