Malcom “Mack” Edwards, age 87 of the Beaverdam Community, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville.
Mack was born on August 1, 1934, to the late Rother and Renda Hayes Edwards. He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Irene Gore, Joseph Edwards, Cecil Edwards, and Charlie Edwards.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., at Dollie’s Memorial Gardens (across from Welcome PFWB Church, Cribbtown Road.) with Pastor Marvin Warfe officiating.
A public viewing for friends will be held from 12:30-2:00 on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Mack was a retired farmer, who loved his family dearly; he also loved fishing and working in his garden.
Mack leaves behind his loving wife, Vickie Cribb Edwards of the home; two children, Sam Edwards and wife, Detra, of Chadbourn, Mirenda Edwards-Prout and husband, Eric, of Tabor City; brother, Kenneth “Ken” Edwards and wife, Willa Dean, of Chadbourn; three grandchildren: Alex Edwards (Randa), Isabelle Edwards, Elleigh Prout, and two great-grandchildren: Abigail Edwards and Levi Edwards; special four-legged friend, Winston.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center- 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472.
