The passenger in a single car crash in Tabor City this evening (Thursday.)
Tabor City Fire Chief Jeff Fowler said the driver of the vehicle was airlifted to a trauma center.
The crash occurred on North Lewis Street near Water Street.
Tabor City Police Chief Donald Dowless said the deceased was identified as Kristina Mae Jacobs. Kelonte Stanley was transported by helicopter in serious condition.
Tabor City Police investigated the wreck. Tabor City Fire and Rescue were assisted by Fair Bluff.
Jacobs was the 14th road fatality in the county this year.
