Local: West Columbus High School Cheer Squad tryout week is April 25-27 and tryout day is April 28. The tryout time is 3:30 -4:30 p.m. 

Varsity Baseball: Pitt County Classic at DH Conley High School: Whiteville beat Northside Pinetown 5-0; Whiteville defeated Greene Central 12-3. Whiteville is now 12-3, with a 10-game winning streak heading into this weekend against Cape Fear. 

South Columbus is in the Beach Diamond Invitational tournament. They are coming off a 23-8 loss yesterday to Scotland out of Laurinburg. The Stallions face the Cherryville Ironmen out of Tabor City today at 11 a.m. and Bessemer City at 6 p.m. The Vikings resume regular season play on April 26 when they meet East Columbus at 7 p.m. 

West Bladen beat West Columbus 7-6 in the Vikings first game yesterday in the West Bladen Easter Tournament. They lost 7-1 last night to the Gators of East Columbus. The Vikings play Pender on April 26 at 7 p.m. 

East Columbus hosts South Columbus on April 26 at 7 p.m. 

Regular Season: Whiteville resumes play Saturday (April 23) at noon, hosting Cape Fear at Legion Stadium. Pregame starts at 11:45 a.m. on Kool 103.9-FM and you can also catch every pitch streaming on www.Kool1039Radio.com  

Varsity Softball: The Lady Wolfpack of Whiteville beat west Brunswick 5-4 

NBA Playoffs Last Night:  

The Hawks lost to the Heat 115-105. Miami leads the series 2-0 

Timberwolves versus the Grizzlies 124-96. Minnesota and Memphis are tied in the series 1-1. 

Pelicans take down the Suns 125-114. The Suns and Pelicans are tied in the series 1-1. Devon Booker left the game.  

Tonight: Boston hosts the Nets at 7 p.m. TNT, for game 2. The Celtics nipped the Nets 115-114 in game 1. Boston is up 1-0 in the series. 

The 76ers versus the Raptors in game 3 at 8 p.m. on NBA-TV. Philadelphia is up 2-0 in the series. 

Milwaukee is hosting the Bulls at 9:30 p.m. on TNT, for game 2. The Bucks beat the Bulls 93-86 in game 1. Milwaukee leads the series 1-0. 

MLB Yesterday: Diamondbacks lost both games in a double-header, 6-1 and 1-0 to the Nationals.  

Giants dropped two games in the double-header to the Mets, 5-4 and 3-1. 

White Sox at Guardians moved to a double header today due to weather. 

Yankees beat Tigers 4-2. 

Cardinals beat Marlins 5-1. 

Blue Jays lost to the Red Sox 2-1. 

Rays defeat the Cubs 6-5.  

Pirates fall to the Brewers 5-2. 

The Twins lost to the Royals 4-3.  

Angels beat Astros 7-2.  

The Phillies took the loss to the Rockies 6-5. 

Rangers fall to the Mariners 6-2. 

Reds lost to the Padres 6-2. 

The Orioles got beaten by the Athletics 2-1. 

Braves beat Dodgers 3-1.

Red Wings beat Lightning 4-3. 

Wild shutout the Canadians 2-0. 

Flyers fall to the Maple Leafs 5-2. 

Panthers beat the Islanders 3-2 in overtime. 

Bruins defeats the Blues 3-2 in overtime. 

Flames fall to the Predators 3-2 in a shootout. 

Kings beat Ducks 2-1. 

Senators defeat the Canucks 4-3 in a shootout. 

Blue Jackets got beaten by the Sharks 3-2. 

Tonight: Stars at Oilers 8:30 p.m. 

Capitals versus the Golden Knights 10 p.m. 

Avalanche and Kraken 10 p.m. 

Blackhawks and Coyotes 10 p.m. 

NASCAR Xfinity Series: Next stop will be the Ag-Pro 300 on Saturday April 23, at the Talladega Superspeedway. The flag will drop at 4 p.m. on FOX. 

NASCAR Cup Series: The Geico 500 is next up on the Cup Series in Talladega, Alabama on Sunday, April 24. 

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: Next race is Friday May 6, in Darlington, South Carolina
