Johnny Mitchell Graves, age 73 of the Cedar Grove Community in Cerro Gordo, entered into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his home.
Mitchell was born on September 3, 1948, in Columbus County, to the late Johnny F. Graves and Bessie Nobles Graves. He was also preceded in death by his son, Johnny Michael Graves and his brothers, David Graves and Jessie Graves.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor Jeff Stocks officiating. Interment will follow in the Graves Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda Gaskin Graves of the home; two children, Becky Graves Russ and husband, Steven, of Cerro Gordo, Kevin Graves and wife, Alicia, of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren, Miranda Cloer, Jared Russ, Aaron Graves, Alyssa Hall, Haiden Graves; great-grandchildren, Ansley Cloer, Emma Graves, Jace Graves, McKenleigh Hall, and “Baby Cloer” on the way.
