Cecil Fredrick Eason 82, of Whiteville passed on August 24, 2022 at his home. He was born July 28, 1940 in Columbus County the son of the late Arthur Fredrick Eason and Eva Creech Eason.
Cecil served in the NC National Guard. He was a volunteer with the White Marsh-Welches Creek Fire Dept. He retired from Georgia Pacific and Hercules. He was a member of The Sons of The Confederacy.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Long Eason; two daughters, Tammie Parker (Jimmy) of Whiteville and Daphne Burris (Mike) of Whiteville; son-in-law, Dale Kinlaw of Whiteville; brothers, Dewitt Eason (Jean) of Whiteville and Larry Eason (Cathy) of Bladenboro; grandchildren, Mason Kinlaw (Sydney), Hollie Bush (Josh), Steven Burris (Jasmine) Katie Prince (Clyde), Jared Burris all of Whiteville; great grandchildren, Zoe, Declan, Rowyn, and Brynn Kinlaw, Emma and Sophie Bush, and Melanie Prince.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carrie Mae Eason Kinlaw; a brother, Sammy Eason.
Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Russell Long.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Bush, Clyde Prince, Steven Burris, Jared Burris, Robert Beck and Greg Beck.
The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30 pm Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
