Polly Ann Rockwell Gaskin, age 84, died Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Lakeside Place Senior Living, Lexington, SC.

She was born October 12, 1937 in Columbus County, NC and was a daughter of the late Frank and Beulah Radford Rockwell.  She graduated from Williams Township High School and upon graduation, married her high school sweetheart, Douglas Gaskin, Sr. They were married for almost 43 years; until his death in 2000.

She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a homemaker and lived her life with a spirit of giving; to her Church, to her community, and to her family.  Her favorite hobbies were sewing, cooking, creating flower arrangements, reading the paper, and working in her yard and garden. She was a Charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Williams Township Volunteer Fire Department and she had served as a volunteer at Columbus Regional Healthcare System. Her family was her greatest joy, and we were all blessed by her love for us.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin Gaskin Inman and husband, Tim, of Leesville, SC; her son, Douglas Gaskin, Jr. of Clarendon, NC; four grandsons and four great grandchildren: Stephen Inman and wife, Caroline, of Easley, SC and their children: Andrew and Benjamin; Jeremy Inman and wife, Lauren, of Lexington, SC, and their children: Charleston and Ford; Zachary Gaskin of Clarendon, NC, and Kristopher Gaskin, of Burlington, NC; sisters, Margie Wallace, Martha Spivey, Lois Mincey and Bonita Dalton (Ernest); brothers, Thelton Rockwell (Bonnie) and Thomas Rockwell (Sandra); along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Franklin Rockwell, and a sister, Magalene Dalton.

The family would like to thank the staff and care givers at Lakeside Place Senior Living and Lighthouse Hospice Group for all the love, care, and concern you gave to her and also, to us.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given in her name to the Williams Township Volunteer Fire Department, 1655 F. M. Cartret Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.
