Donald Willard Viets, Jr, age 72, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville. Donald was born in Guilford County, on November 27, 1950 to the late Donald W. Viets and Almeda West Viets. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother; William West Viets, and a nephew; William Charles Rowan.
Donald was a graduate of Whiteville High School and continued his education in law. He went on to have a successful career as a lawyer for 42 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife; Deborah Enzor Viets of Whiteville and a son; Donald Andrew Viets (Anyela) of Simpsonville, SC.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 28,2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church , Whiteville with Rev.-Dr. Joe D. Washburn officiating .
The Family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
