Tabor Man Charged with Kidnap, Resisting

Tabor City Police arrested a man Monday who allegedly said he was going to shoot officers who came to take him in.

James Ricco Gore, 52, of 503 W. Sixth Street, was held under $2,500 bond on charges of kidnapping, resisting, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats. He was taken intio custody around 7 p.m.

Tabor City police reported that Gore’s wife filed charges against him when Gore allegedly threatened her with a firearm. Gore than reportedly told her that he would shoot any officer who came to arrest him.

TCPD and the sheriff’s office served an arrest warrant on Gore at the home, and took him into custody after a brief scuffle. No injuries were reported.
