Yard Display Vandalized

Someone damaged a “pride” banner and more that $1,000 worth of displays at a Whiteville area home over the weekend.

Ricky Barger told the sheriff’s office that a blowup Christmas tree and Halloween dog, lights and a blowup “pride” banner were found vandalized at his home at 256 Golf Course Road Sunday. The report did not give details about the banner or the other items.

The property was valued at $1,200.

The investigation is continuing.
