Two Robeson County deputies were rushed to an area hospital after they were shot “multiple times” this morning.
Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins posted open social media that the two deputies were shot off Old Red Springs Road outside of Maxton. The suspect was also shot and being flown to an undisclosed location.
District Attorney Matt Scott is on scene with Sheriff Wilkins. Assistance from ATF and the SBI has been requested along with multiple responding agencies from across the county and state.
