The “First Time Since 79” team fromWest Columbus has the week off, but Whiteville’s Wolfpack and the never-say-die ECHS Gators are both hitting the field tonight for conference playoff games.
East Columbus is headed up the road for Perquimons, where they will go up against a team that is making a name for itself on defense this year.
Whiteville is hosting No. 27 South Granville at Legion Stadium at 7::30 p.m.
WCHS took the conference title last week, for the first time since 1979. Due to other schools dropping from play, the Vikings earned a week off. They’ll be playing at home again next Friday in Cerro Gordo.
