Two vehicles were struck by gunfire and a woman hurt Wednesday in the area of Will Inman and Kenny Jordan roads.

Keyatta Todd and an infant were traveling on Kenny Jordan around 2:15 p.m. when multiple bullets struck Todd’s vehicle, a report at the sheriff’s office said. Todd was struck in the hand, but the child was not injured.

The rounds came through the passenger side of Todd’s Nissan Rogue, causing $1,000 in damage.

At the same time, Danny Fowler was driving on Will Inman Road at the intersection with Kenny Jordan when his truck was struck, causing $2,500 in damage. Fowler, 72, was not injured.

Todd was treated by EMS but the report did not say if she required additional medical care.

The incident is under investigation.

The shootings came just days after a string of unrelated incidents where multiple homes and vehicles were struck by gunfire across the county. One woman was injured in a shooting near Tabor City. No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made in those cases.
