Johnnie A. Roberson, Jr., 64, of Whiteville, died Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Bladen County Hospital.
The funeral will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 4, at Christian Plain AME Zion Church, 1960 Jenkins Road, Whiteville, NC, by Elder Linda Caroleen Roberson. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery in Clarkton, NC.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his sisters, Valentine Sutton-Page of Whiteville and Linda Caroleen Roberson of Atlanta, GA.
Due to the increase in communicable viruses, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be limited to phone calls and visits be made only at the funeral home during the visitation on Wednesday.
