Ms. Lillie D. Berkley 73, affectionally called “Baby Sista” of Whiteville, NC exchanged this life for a home in glory on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care Center, The Angel House in Whiteville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Robert Vereen and Ms. Rachel C. Berkley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 1:00pm, from St. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 456 Old Lumberton Road, Whiteville, NC; where the pastor is Rev. Gregory Hewett, Rev. Tony Vereen will deliver the eulogy. A private burial will be in Berkley Family Cemetery.
Ms. Berkley is survived by her children:Patella Berkley, Jamee Berkley, Nesby Berkley, Marian Dione Berkley Smith (Darius), and Erin Berkley, six grandchildren, her siblings: Carolyn Berkley-Parker, Edward Lee Berkley, Reginald Berkley (Rhonda), Julius Berkley, Rachel B. Brown, Katherine Ervin (Fred), Nora Barr, Christine Shipman, Rev. Benny Kemp (Arnetta), Elder Walter Kemp (Sharon), Rick Robinson, and a host of family and friends.
