Non Profits Urged to Apply for BEMC Grants

Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation (BEMC) is now accepting applications for its Community Grants program for projects up to $2,500. The deadline to apply is Feb. 15.  Interested parties can find the application on the BEMC website at www.bemc.org/community-grants.

“Community involvement is at the core of who we are at Brunswick Electric,” said Brookes Versaggi, Manager of Member Engagement and Communications for BEMC. “We’re honored to empower our neighbors and make an even greater impact each year through resources and support needed to accomplish their goals.”

The Community Grants program funds projects for non-profit organizations and community groups that make a positive impact in our community. Since 2003, more than $745,000 has been given back to local communities through the program. Last year, BEMC awarded 40 local organizations $63,000.

Eligible groups may apply to Brunswick Electric for grants up to $2,500 each year for projects that fall into these five areas: family services, civic and community programs, cultural and arts programs, emergency services, and economic development.
