One person was transported to New Hanover Regional and another injured after an early morning shooting at a Whiteville bar.
Whiteville Police were called to Block’s Bar and Grill at 1:11 a.m., according to a press release from WPD. The bar is located at 1032 S. Madison Street. Upon arrival they were told two individuals were wounded in a shooting. The victims were transported to Columbus Regional by private vehicle, and one was later transferred to New Hanover.
The shooting is under investigation.
