Wanda Jean Long, 63, of Chadbourn, died on Monday, January 8, 2024, while in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville, NC.
Wanda was the daughter of the late Barney Cephus Long and Mary Lois Price Long. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Mary Louise Simmons, Barbara Jo Long, and Alice Faye Battista.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Mr. Darrell Milligan officiating.
The family will speak to friends from 3:00-3:50 p.m. prior to the service on Friday.
Wanda worked in the sewing department, in the textiles industry.
Survivors include two daughters, Erica Hood (Tracy) of Cerro Gordo, Raneshia Spivey (Kenneth Williams) of Beaverdam; grandchildren, Matthew, Nick, Tracy, Cheyenne, Katlyn, Chatley, Bentley, Cherish, and Lakota; siblings, Judy Bass of Whiteville, Joyce King (Joey) of Chadbourn, Patricia King (Howard) of Cerro Gordo, Jackie Cartrette (Darrell) of Cerro Gordo, Elizabeth Mitchell of Virginia Beach, VA, Betty Rowell of Mullins, Sally Nance (Lonnie) of Chadbourn; and her loving fur-baby, Trixie.
