April 6, 1975 ~ February 17, 2024 (age 48)

Laura Faith Cain Perritte, 48, of Tabor City, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her home.

She was the devoted wife of 33 years to Rodney B. Perritte. Together they raised three children and three grandchildren. Laura was passionate about caring for her family. She always bent over backwards to do what she could for each of them. She was the youngest daughter of her 4 siblings, but the loudest and the one that loved the biggest; at times, she could be feisty and firm, especially about the people and things that were near and dear to her heart.

Even from a young age, Laura had a grand sense of humor, and enjoyed stirring things up with her family and friends. She always wanted to be “in the know” and often was. If she wasn’t sure, she would always ask the right question to find out. Her children and her nieces loved that quality about her, as she always tried to keep them in check.

Laura enjoyed keeping her home and her yard in pristine condition. She never wanted to see dishes in the sink or dirty laundry in the hamper. She was not afraid of hard work. When she was able, she worked on the farm with her grandparents and her aunt. She enjoyed the gathering of the sweet potatoes and peanuts, if nothing more but for the great joy and laughter that came with it, as family worked together; the times when life was simpler.

The love and laughter that Laura shared in this life will forever be held in the hearts and memories of those that loved her dearly. She is now reunited with the dear ones that have gone before her; her paternal grandparents, Curtis and Francis Cain; her beloved parents, Reverend Larry W. Cain, Sr., and Rhonda Y. Nealy Cain; her brother, Curtis L. Cain, and her uncle, Mitchell Valerie Nealy.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Rodney Perritte of the home; her children, Courtney Perritte, Taylor Perritte, and Chandler Perritte, all of Tabor City; grandparents, Leo Nealy and Larrine D. Nealy of Chadbourn; siblings, Michelle C. Storms (Vince) of Bladenboro, and Larry W. Cain, Jr. (Crystal) of Chadbourn; three grandchildren, Nova Soles, Brantley Soles, and Carson Soles; a host of nieces and nephews and other beloved family and friends.
