Alethia Waddell Shaw, 99, of Riegelwood, NC, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Brunswick Cove Living Center.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Saturday, March 30, at Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church, 15956 Old Lake Road, Riegelwood, NC, by Pastor Dwight Omar Neely. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Home Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Saturday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are her daughter, Sheryl Leatherberry of Greensboro, NC; son, Eddie Raymond Shaw, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Henry McClera Waddell of Riegelwood, NC and Marvin Earl Waddell of Lake Waccamaw, NC.
