Benny Raleigh Todd, 80, of Chadbourn, died on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Benny was born on June 25, 1943, son of the late Homer Bert Todd and Effie Mae Tompkins Todd. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Todd; his siblings, Homer Todd, Jr., Billy Todd, Merlene Bass, Douglas Todd, Betty Benton, Clyde Todd.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Flynn Cemetery, with Pastor Dale Manning officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Monday, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn, prior to the graveside.
The family will also receive friends at Benny’s home on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2:00-3:30. (601 E. Institute Street Chadbourn, NC)
Benny was the owner and operator of Benny’s Garage & Wrecker Services in Chadbourn, NC.
The surviving family includes his wife, Mary Soles Todd; a daughter, Mary Jane Todd Connor (Mike) of Chadbourn; step-son, Wayne Lowery (Karen) of Chadbourn; step-daughter, Libby Mishoe (Greg) of Lumberton; siblings, Clarence Todd of Ash, Frances Porter of Siler City; grandchildren, Brandy Powell (Chris), Stephen Bullard (Ashley), Allen Lowery (Jeanette), Haley Connor, Aaron Lowery (Aysel), Brayden Suggs, Christy Locklear (Jack); great-grandchildren, Gavin McPherson, Karrington McPherson, Brody Dale Bullard, Breland Mae Bullard, Emberly Lowery, Layla Hardee, and Carson Rhyne.
