Mrs. Christine McKenzie Williams 82, of Cedar Grove Community of Whiteville, NC exchanged this life for a home in glory on Saturday, March 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Cleveland Williams, and her parents, Mr. Rudolph McKenzie and Mrs. Belle Gerald McKenzie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 12:00 Noon from Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Whiteville, NC with Rev. Ricky Pridgen eulogizing, the pastor is Dr. Ronnie Clarida. Burial will follow in the Kelly Cemetery, Bladenboro, NC.
Mrs. Williams is survived by daughters: Barbara Williams McKoy, Mearien Williams Pridgen, and Regina Williams Mebane, step-daughter: Gwendalina Cox, one sister: Shirley McKenzie Shirden, one brother: Douglas Reaves, one step-sister: Emmaline Peco, eight grandchildren, a host of great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 3 to 6 pm in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, and again on Thursday one hour prior to the services.
