One Jailed with Pot, Firearms in Park

Deputies arrested a Kelly resident Tuesday after he allegedly had 20 grams of marijuana and three guns at the Hallsboro community park.

Jordan Tyree Johnson, 21, of White Oak Road, Kelly, was held under $5,000 secured bond, according to detention center reports. He was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana; maintaining a vehicle for drug activities; drug paraphernalia; possession of narcotic within 1,000 feet of a public park; and possessing firearms at a park.

Johnson allegedly had two bags of marijuana containing more than 20 grams of marijuana in his Honda Accord. The report said he also had plastic bags used for breaking the drug down into saleable quantities, as well as three firearms. He was taken into custody just after 6 p.m.

The park, located on Red Bug Road, has been a source of concern for residents for some time, due to reports of illegal drug use and other criminal activity.
