Tracy Patrick “Pat” Bass Sr., age 91, of Chadbourn passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Cape Fear Valley in Fayetteville.
Pat was born in Columbus County to the late Raymond Edward Lee Bass and Eldese Atkinson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Gore Bass and a brother Raymond Jack Bass.
Pat was active in the Airforce from 1952-1956 and also enjoyed a career teaching mathematics and coaching football. He later joined the insurance business and eventually retired from a home service called Watt Count out of Charlotte. Following his retirement, Pat returned home to his hometown of Chadbourn, NC.
Surviving family includes his children, Nancy B. Adams (Yewell) and Tracy Bass Jr. all of Chadbourn; siblings, Francis “Boggy” Bass (Mary) of Lumberton and Richard Eustis Bass (Sissy) of Fairmont and many nieces and nephews.
