First responders, charities and recovery groups turned out Saturday for the Columbus County Hurricane Expo.
The annual event is designed to help area residents prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters. In addition to county Emergency Management and the sheriff’s office, Animal Protective Services, the National Weather Service, mental health and counseling agencies, and government assistance agencies were on hand to help people be ready when a storm comes.
