November 6, 1935 ~ April 15, 2024 (age 88)
Irene Fowler Phipps, age 88, of Tabor City, NC, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning in her home with her daughters by her side, April 15, 2024. Born November 6, 1935 in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jettie Roscoe Fowler and Essie Lewis Fowler and widow of Robert Glenn Phipps.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Phipps Fipps (David) of Ash, NC and Glenda Gerrald (Scotty) of Loris, SC; one sister, Kathleen Fipps of Loris, SC; three grandchildren, Ashlee Clemons (Brett) of Tabor City, NC, Kasey Gerrald and Landon Gerrald, both of Loris, SC; and one great grandchild, River Mizzell.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William “Bud” Roscoe Fowler, Charles Wayne Fowler and Jerry Lynn Fowler; and two sisters, Juanita Porter and Willa Mae Norris.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
