Jack Edwards, 93, of Whiteville, peacefully met the Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024, at his daughter’s home in Bladenboro.
Jack was born on October 2, 1930, son of the late Charlie Edwards and Bertha Powers Edwards. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Frances “Frank” Edwards; second wife, Betty Hester Edwards; loving daughter, Frances Emette Tedder.
Funeral services commemorating Jack’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Seay officiating; burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery, Bladenboro.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.
The family will also receive friends at the home of Mr. Edwards on Wednesday, May 1, 2024- 1312 SunnySide Street, Whiteville, NC.
The surviving family includes his children: Judy Meadows (Claude) of Bladenboro, Ronald Edwards (Ann) of Whiteville, Sandra Priest (Greg) of Lisbon Community, Becki McDonald of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Jaclyn Nobles (Will), Doug Edwards, Anthony Brian Edwards (Rachel), Byron Tedder (Meredith), Amanda Hill (Rusty), Jack Meadows (Stephanie), Candice Nardi (Devin), Jordan McDonald, Morgan Amiss (Taylor); 17 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Silvan Tedder of Whiteville; loving dog, Popeye.
