Thieves Target Firearms

A small gun

Multiple county residents reported the theft of firearms in recent days, according to the sheriff’s office.

Patricia and John Edge contacted the sheriff’s office March 28 after discovering two handguns missing from their home on Happy Homes Church Road. The .380 Glock and .38 Smith and Wesson were valued at a total of $1,000.

Dulla Lee Gerald of Wright Road, Tabor City, called the sheriff’s office March 29 after discovering the theft of her .38 revolver. The handgun was valued at $200.

A Browning shotgun was reported missing from Ice Plant Road Fair Bluff address Friday. Plan Elvington Jr. told deputies the Browning was valued at around $150.
