Two men from the Chadbourn area are being held under no bond after allegedly helping a teenaged girl run away from home. She was later allegedly raped by one of the men.

Aldo Ismael Esparza, 20, and Gabriel Venegas Zuniga, 28, both of 49 Birchwood Trail, were arrested May 14 by the sheriff’s office. Esparza is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and second degree kidnapping. Zuniga was held for statutory rape of a child and second degree kidnapping.

The sheriff’s office reported that Esparza allegedly encouraged the 15 year old female and picked her up at her request. Later Zuniga allegedly restrained and raped her, according to the warrant.

The investigation is continuing.
