Live entertainment, vendors, a parade, and a show featuring virtually every vehicle are on tap for Saturday’s Spring Has Sprung Festival in Tabor City.
This is the fourth year for the event, and promises to be the largest yet, organizers said. Festivities will be downtown from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Vendors will be set up on the Main Street side of the railroad tracks from the corner of West Third to the corner of West Fifth Street. Craft, information, retail sales, direct sales, or concessions vendors can still sign up. Call Committee Chair Miranda Thompkins at 910.840.0567.
The Car, Truck, Motorcycle, and Tractor Show may be found down W. Fifth Street. “Yamman” Tiger Lovette is in charge of the show. To pre-register call 843.333.0947.
The entertainment stage will be set up on Main Street as well. The KidZone will begin on Main Street and extend down West Fourth. Flimsy the Clown is also attending this year.
The Spring Has Sprung Festival parade will step off at 11 a.m. Lineup will begin at 9:30 just past Truist Bank on the corner of Hickman Road and Garrell Street. The parade route goes down Hickman Road onto East Fifth Street, with a rightturn at Inman’s Funeral Home onto Pireway Road. The parade disperses there, and units can either turn right onto Bell Street (for those who need to go back to line up area) or take Pireway Road to the U.S. 701.
Columbuscountynews.com will be broadcasting the parade on Facebook and Columbus County TV on YouTube. Darrell Jackson will be providing color commentary.
