Columbus Regional Healthcare System recently awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) students who would like a future in the healthcare industry.

This is the largest amount of HOSA scholarships CRHS has ever given.

Each student completed a second level Health Occupation Class at their High School. This year’s recipients are Itzel Rico Baltazar, Katlyn Tyson and Leo Han (Whiteville High School), Olivia Watts, Lilly Duncan, and Reece Anna Cribb (South Columbus High School), Kennedy Scott and Chloe Gordon (West Columbus High School).

“We are very excited to be able to offer scholarships to this exemplary group of students. It takes a special person to be called into the healthcare field. We know they will do well and hope to see them in the halls of Columbus Regional one day,” said Jason Beck, CRHS CEO.

Columbus Regional Healthcare System has offered these scholarships since 1997. The scholarships are funded by the CRHS Foundation, the CRHS Auxiliary, and CRHS Nursing.
