Sammie Ransom, 69, of Bladenboro, died on Monday, June 24, 2024, in the Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Sammie was born on June 30, 1954, son of the late Howard Monroe Ransom and Susie Ann Faulk Ransom. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Tony Ransom, Dawayna Ransom, and Cynthia Ransom.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Worthington Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Tommy Bryson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
The surviving family includes three daughters, Samantha Ransom Chavis of Charleston, Sara Adkins of Elizabethtown, Linda Adkins of Parkton; siblings, Ricky Ransom of Rocky Point, Annette Ransom of Wilmington, Linda Ransom of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Kimberly Ransom, Faith Chavis, Alicia Adkins, and Kylian Morrison.
