School may be out but sports camps are in at West Columbus.
- June 17-19 is the West Columbus Youth Baseball Camp. Coach Connor Grainger will lead the camp, which will focus on the basics of throwing, catching and hitting. Camp sessions will be 9 until noon daily, and lunch is provided. Preregistration is $65. Call 910.317.4962 or 910.918.8276 for information. All proceeds will go back into the WCHS baseball program.
- July 29-31 will be the Columbus County Parks and Recreation Volleyball Clinic at West Columbus School for girls ages 6-15. Sessions are 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. daily. Cost is $30, including snacks. Call 910.640.6624.
- July 29-31 is the WCHS Mini Cheer Camp for ages 3-14. This camp is directed by Tasha Bass Dyson. The camp will cover all things cheer related. Cost is $50 is registered and paid by June 30, and $60 after that date. Time is 6-8 p.m. Go to http://forms.gle/o6qtP9hqiyUftMQH7 to register. All proceeds will go back into the WCHS cheerleader program.
- July 30 -Aug. 1 is West Columbus Youth Football Camp.
This camp is directed by Coach LaMonte Williamson and his staff. The camp will be from 6-8pm each night and the cost is $30. All proceeds will go back into the WCHS football program. Contact the coaching staff for more information.
Youth football and youth cheerleading sign ups also start that week thru the West Columbus Youth Sports Club.

An amateur wrestling program is also in the early planning stages for the sports club.
