April 20, 1932 ~ July 3, 2024 (age 92)
Betty Lou Taylor Shepherd, age 92 of Oak Dale Community of Evergreen, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening, July 3, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Sandy Taylor and Alma Powers Taylor; and was preceded in death by two siblings, Agnes Wright and Marvin Taylor; two grandchildren, Davy Floyd Bullard and Tiffany Bullard.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Judy T. Bullard and her husband, David H. Bullard, Jr. of Evergreen; a grandson, Jonathan B. Bullard of Evergreen; a granddaughter-in-law, Brooke Bartley of Evergreen; four great-grandchildren, Alexis B. Hamilton (Andrew), Zander Bullard, Dalton Bullard and Madison Bullard. and a great-great-grandchild, Jamie Hamilton.
Final rites will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Oak Dale Baptist Church, (6233 Joe Brown Hwy N., Whiteville, NC) with Pastor Dean Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service on Sunday at the church.
