Lake Hot Dog Sale Today

Get a traditional patriotic lunch and help a local fire department today.

The Jimmy Stanley Memorial hot dog sale and boot drive is going on until 2 p.m.  at the Lake Waccamaw Fire Department on Flemington Drive. All proceeds go to the fire department.

Stanley was a founding member of the VFD, and helped organize the annual sale and boot drop. It was named in his honor after his death. The longtime volunteer and town commissioner was known for his tireless efforts to support the fire department.

While you’re grabbing that Independence Day dog, check out the Flags on Flemington. The patriotic display has become a fixture at the Lake. Flags from different eras of our country’s history as well as the armed forces are on display along Flemington Drive near the town hall.

LWVFD’s hot dog sale and boot drop also features fun for families and kids. The sale is a tradition going back years. (File photo)
