Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Worthington Funeral Home Interment will follow in the Evergreen Methodist Church Cemetery; Rev. Marty Sellers and Rev. David Butler will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Janice was a faithful member of Evergreen Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. She was a kindergarten teacher at the Evergreen Elementary School for over 30 years.
Janice was born on November 11, 1943, daughter of the late Edgar Mathuel Griffin and Flora Jane Shaw Griffin. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Johnson; sister, Sylvia Griffin.
Janice leaves behind a son, William Grant Johnson and his wife, Crystal of Evergreen; two granddaughters, Taylor Johnson Jordan and her husband, Ellis of Clarkton and Anna Johnson McPherson and her husband, James of Whiteville; great-grandchildren, Addison Grant Jordan, Hayesly James McPherson, and Griffin Markham McPherson; many loving nieces and nephews.
