Virgenmina Lugo, age 85, of Whiteville, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Virgenmina was born in Puerto Rico on January 10, 1939 to the late Dionisio Lugo and Victoria Cruz. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Alejandro Cruz.
Virgenmina worked for several years as a seamstress in a clothing factory. She was a part of a very close, loving family.
Left to cherish her memory are her son; Francisco Cruz Lugo (Maria Santos) of Whiteville, two sisters; Clara Lugo (George Vargas) of Jacksonville, FL and Analydia Lugo of Ponce, PR and a brother; Gabriel Velazques (Diana) also of Ponce, PR.
