James “Pig” Paul Dorsey, Jr. age 72, of Chadbourn, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at his home.
He was born on October 13, 1951, in Columbus County to the late James Paul Dorsey, Sr. and Gladys Elizabeth Turbeville Dorsey. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Alvie Dorsey and Wendell Ray Dorsey.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jason Kinlaw and Pastor Tim Moore officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dorsey Family Cemetery (992 Joe Piver Road, Chadbourn, NC).
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home and at other times at 200 Anne Street in Bladenboro.
To cherish his memory he leaves his wife, Lula Carolyn Hall Dorsey of the home; a daughter, Amy Dorsey Dudley (Grant) of Chadbourn; son, Justin P. Dorsey of Chadbourn; two brothers, Joe Dorsey (Debbie) of Whiteville and Weldon Dorsey (Melodie) of Leland; three grandchildren, Emalee Dudley, Linzee Dudley and Madalyn Dorsey.
