Ms. Deloris Ann Mitchell 57, of Whiteville, NC gave the Lord her hand and transitioned into eternity on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Dallas Mitchell and Mrs. Louise Shipman Mitchell of Columbus County. She was predeceased by one aunt: Mrs. Texanna Grissom Brown, brothers: David Mitchell, Herman Shipman, and Nakia Shipman.
Celebration of Life services will be conducted on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm from Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Williams delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the George Cemetery.
Ms. Mitchell is survived by her sister/mother: Mrs. Daisey Shipman Lennon, one daughter: Candice Mitchell, one son: Mhalik Graham, four brothers: William (Chuck) Mitchell, Darryl Mitchell, Pastor Clarence Shipman, and Samuel Arnette, two sisters: Audrey Mitchell, and Joyce Alderman (Elder Bruce), four grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 3 to 6 pm in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
