Sanford Glendale Jacobs

Sanford Glendale Jacobs, son of the late Grover Patrick and Loraine Jacobs, departed this life on September 28, 2024, at the age of 79 years old. In 1970, he was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, the late Helen Jacobs, with whom he raised two wonderful children, Randall Jacobs and Eddie Dewayne Jacobs.

Sanford was a dedicated member of the Buckhead Fire Department, where he served faithfully and selflessly for many years. His commitment and bravery in the face of danger will always be remembered by his fellow firefighters and the community he served.

His career in the construction field let him to work for Miller Builders for a long period of time. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his golf cart, videoing at churches and powwows, and drinking coca cola.

He was a loving husband, father, and friend. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. Sanford attended Mt. Sinai Holiness Church and his unwavering devotion to his family, church, and community will forever be cherished.

Sanford leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Randall Jacobs of the home and Eddie Dewayne Jacobs (Teresa) of Birdville, NC; two grandchildren, Trisha Robinson (Brandon Jones) of Lenoir, NC, and Megan Sanborn (Logan Sanborn) of Leland, NC; five sisters, Melissa Kay King (Tommy), Rachel Faye Kirksey (Claude), Joanne Cummings (Willie), Wynema Graham (Gary), and Haleen Freeman (Charles) all of Buckhead, NC; brothers, James Carl Jacobs (Jean) of Council, NC, Elwood Jacobs (Lydia) of Buckhead, NC, Dennis Patrick (Eloise) of Buckhead, NC, Hubert Patrick of Buckhead, NC, J.P. Patrick (Onnie) of Oriental, NC, Bill Patrick (Neat) of Buckhead, NC, and Edison Ray Jacobs of Wilmington, NC; and a host of family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Jacobs; and brother, Rudolph Patrick.

His funeral service will be held Thursday October 3, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mt. Sinai Holiness Church with the Rev. Michael Jacobs officiating.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service at 1:00pm at the church.
