He is survived by his wife, Amaryllis S. McPherson of the home. Mother, Joyce Ola Mae Moss McPherson of Chadbourn, NC. Two sisters, Nancy Strickland of Chadbourn, NC and Brenda Grainger and husband Junior of Tabor City, NC. One step daughter, Wendy Summerlin and husband Phillip of Tupton, NC. One granddaughter, Ashton Cook and husband John. Two great grandchildren, Lucas Knox Cook and Avy Rae Cook and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one step son, Jamie Pittman and one brother, Elton McPherson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Peacock Road, Chadbourn, NC.
