Good evening, and Happy Veterans Day. Meteorologist Christopher Cawley here with your weather update for Monday November 11, 2024.
A cold front moved across the area today, which resulted in the showers that we received. A secondary boundary will move through Tuesday with some breezy conditions, but we’ll be dry and sunny. We turn colder Tuesday night through Thursday, with some showers possible on Thursday as well, as yet another front crosses the area. Dry high pressure then builds in for Friday through the weekend with temperatures warming back up above normal.
Temperatures will actually run just a tad BELOW normal for the midweek period but with cloudiness in the area, no frost threat is anticipated.
Looking at longer-term model runs, temperatures are expected to remain above seasonal normal values (on the whole) through at least the next 10-14 days. Very low threat for sub-freezing temperatures.
TROPICS: Rafael is no more, but there’s a new disturbance being watched in the southern Caribbean Sea. This actually has a pretty decent chance of becoming at least a tropical depression over the next few days, but it’s not going anywhere very fast and will probably dissipate before moving inland over Belize / Guatemala / Honduras.
That’ll do it for today’s update, thank you for reading and take care.
