‘Chinaman’ Captured, Stolen Property Recovered

A fugitive was captured after a high speed chase from near Whiteville to Hallsboro Dec. 4.

Raymond Timothy “Chinaman” Warren, 34, was held under$20,000 secured bond on charges of felony larceny and violating parole. Detention center reports gave his address as 20 Batten Burney Rd., Whiteville.

Logan Seth  Fowler, 24, was also arrested and charged with harboring a fugitive, his bond was set at $50,000. His address was listed as 60 Walt’s Lane, Hallsboro.

The sheriff’s office said in a press release that the suspects were captured by the Heavy

Enforcement Action Team (HEAT,) along with the Investigations and Narcotics divisions.

Detectives were investigating leads about a stolen camper near Whiteville. They found the recreational vehicle, and Warren fled the scene in a vehicle, allegedly “recklessly endangering the lives of three detective who were nearly struck during his escape.”

Warren fled to Hallsboro, where he was eventually captured at Fowler’s home on Walt’s Drive.
